| About the Show |
| The Index Investing Show is a weekly program that covers the major stock, bond, and commodity indexes and the financial products that track them. |
| |
| The Fundamental Goals of the Show are the Following: |
 |
To advance and promote index investing; |
 |
To alert America about the financial products tracking the key market indexes; |
|
To provide a weekly flow of meaningful index investing news, commentary and interviews; |
|
To give our listeners a simple formula for beating Wall Street’s overpaid money managers. |
|
| |
| Why Index Investing is Important |
Numerous academic studies reveal that many of Wall Street’s biggest money managers and mutual fund companies fail to consistently beat the key market indexes. Index investing takes them and their bloated fees out of the picture by relying on the major stock and bond indexes for market performance.
In the financial media, index investing is often ignored, misinterpreted or given a bad wrap. The media erroneously limits index investing to the S&P 500 or Dow Jones Industrial Average. In the U.S. alone, there are exchange-traded funds tracking over 200 market indexes. Compare the performance of your investment portfolio versus some of these major stock indexes and see what you find. |
